8 hours 44 minutes and counting
I have been upright (or at least, not lying down) for 8 hours 44 minutes and counting, people! That's a record since last Sunday morning. Not the one we just had, the one BEFORE that.
I was supposed to have an appointment with a GI doctor (who is going to want to stick things in me and up me and down me, I just know it) this morning, but the schedule chickie messed things up so it's tomorrow morning. One more day to wonder at the mystery that is my aching innards. Though it doesn't hurt quite as much to be conscious, but that might be a build-up of Vicodin talking. Better not get my hopes up.
That is all, carry on.

I hope you feel MUCH better (as opposed to a bit better and able to pick up your weary head) soon. There are some good GIs in the area (I don't know why, particularly, but I've heard this from a few people who really liked their GI.) so hopefully you'll be in good hands.
OK, I can't seem to send an email for some reason and don't have time to figure it out, so I'll try it as a comment.
This might be a strange request, especially since you are living on crackers these days, but here goes. I remember that you have your grandmother's recipe book and I've told you about how we make her Pumpkin bread often often often. Anyway (hem and haw) did she have a good gingerbread recipe? Not the cookies, but the thick dark cake like they sometimes have at Trader Joes or Whole Foods? I have tried a bunch of recipes and none have been what I'm looking for. Oh, one was pretty good but it had a big dose of coffee in it which made me think twice about serving it to the small guys in the house. Thanks, Megan from Chandler

I suppose you've already gone to your apointment, but I have my fingers AND toes crossed that you'll feel better soon!
