Wow, that was amazing, Laura. I love how you showed two sides to the same story - very cool idea. And I like how you made what would appear to be the more dangerous option - picking up a hitchiker - to be the safest one for her.
Thanks! I was hoping the idea with the hitchhiker turning out to be the safe option came through.
That was wonderful! Were you expecting the stories to be read side-by-side, or did you want the reader to go straight down the left, and then return to the right side? I read side to side, and I loved the impact. By doing it that way, the men sort of blended into one. I also think it was a great idea having the diner be closed for the hitchhiker. I was so sure he was going to kill her at that point.
I came over from Chicklit, and I'll be back for more. :)
