I think part of the reason you and Calvin are a bit more "vaporey" about Marie is because a) she's a girl and for some reason parents always seem more loathe to let girls get away, and b) she's the baby. It might've been kinda hard to let Michael go, but at least you still had Marie there to chat with, and hang out, and to help out, and whatnot.
