Resurrection

It's time to start posting about my fitness goals again, I think. As I posted on Snerkology - The Weblog, I'll be going through a detox program, probably starting next week. I think I'll post the progress/adventure here, in my ever-failing attempts to keep topic appropriate subjects to their, uh, subjective blogs. Fitness stuff here, dream stuff at Waking Mind (another idle location, but it shouldn't be since I've been having fucked up dreams every night), entry stuff at The Weblog. I think I'll let Colloquial go, since when I start posting on the journal again, I'm probably going to keep The Weblog for minutae.

So! The detox stuff is due to come in on Wednesday, which means I'll wait until next Tuesday to start on the recommended day. Until then, I've been wavering between trying to eat really healthy, and submitting to my ice cream cravings as if I have only a week left to indulge. I know I'm hanging on the beginning of the detox plan as the beginning to the pursuit of my health and fitness goals - kind of an exaggerated "I'll start on Monday" when faced with an entire cheesecake on Friday night. I'm always the Looking For Any Excuse girl.

I'm right around 130 right now, though I'm less concerned about my weight and more about my fitness level. Looking to tone up, tighten up, get some endurance going, and strengthen my core. To that end, I'll take the workouts easy during the introduction part of the detox, and then step up cardio and weight training from there.

My goal is to work out at the gym on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday to take advantage of their variety of machines. Then I'll work out at home on Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesday and Friday off makes sense to me.

Here we go again, friends!
