I like this Phelps kid. He's giving up his position on the 400-meter relay to a fellow teammate.

"We came into this meet as a team and we're going to leave it as a team," Phelps said. "It's the right thing to do."

The FUH?

I just had a panic attack. Sitting at my desk, doing my weekly report. My heart started pounding, and my stomach clenched, and I felt like I was going to burst into tears. WHAT THE HELL. I sat and did deep breathing with my eyes closed and my head in my hands, for a couple of minutes. The moment passed, leaving me feeling jittery.

There was nothing that prompted it. Nothing that I'm overwhelmingly worried about. And there's even some good things going on today - a lunch with friends, and happy hour from 3-5 with my department. So, a low-stress day. Where the HELL are these attacks coming from, for God's sake? They're starting to piss me off.

Mmm-mmm Good

I'm having a really good lunch right now. I made a mixture of chopped cucumbers, red bell peppers, black olives, celery, sweet onion, roma tomatoes, crumbled feta, garlic salt, pepper, and balsamic viniagrette. I took a couple of soft-taco sized tortillas, spread them with roasted garlic hummus, piled on the veggie mixture, and consumed with gusto. Man, I could eat these things all day long.
