You HAVE TO read this
Dana updated about her correspondence with Victor, the Nigerian Senator. You have GOT to read this.
"Tears I cried because I feared that I would lose you forever, Victor. Lose you as a business partner and potential father to my children."
This stuff is priceless.

From Fred's Journal
Regarding Pat Tillman and the stupid things that idiot college student from U of M wrote in his college newspaper, Fred had a really great entry, and I wanted to post here how he closed it out:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press.
It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Sore Throaty Badness
So I'm home sick today.
The suck part about being home sick is that I can't just let myself BE sick, with the sitting around on the couch under a blanket, keeping the cat's nose out of my Malt 'O Meal, watching The Princess Bride for the eleventy-seven millionth time, and wishing there was someone around to make me hot tea with honey, or my Grandmother's Red Stew.
No, today, at the very least, I must finish my Economics paper (the damn thing, along with the presentation I'm supposed to give tomorrow in class, is worth about a quarter of our grade), and I must do a load of dishes, and I must do two loads of laundry. Showering wouldn't be a bad idea, either. Plus, there's the tacos that need to be made for dinner.
My throat hurts. My sinuses hurt. I'm in full whine activation, and I think I'm going to go take a milk bath.
