Hey hey, we're gonna take off now
Calvin and I are headed up north to go skiing this morning. When I told my sister (surrounded by FEET of snow up on the hill in Maine) she had a good laugh - "Skiing in Arizona just sounds weird."
The puppies are going to their grandma for the weekend (on par with a spa weekend for them, she REALLY spoils 'em). Marie's staying with a friend (we're pretty boggled that she'd rather do that than go skiing, since she's been begging for AGES to go... I imagine some day we'll have the truth of it).
We have altogether too many bags for just a two-night, three-day trip. Clothes - mostly sweaters. The HUGE duffel of ski gear. A bag of shoes. The toiletries. The camera gear. Munchies for the road. We're prepared for sunny/warm, sunny/cold, cloudy/warm, cloudy/cold, mild snow/blizzard. We're expecting snow over the next few days.
Woo! Powder!

They're staring
My sister-in-law gave me one of those shirts with an embroidered initial on it, for Christmas.
People have been staring at my chest all day today, trying to figure out if the initial is a T, a J, or an L. Two guys actually had a minutes-long discussion about it in my morning meeting, debating while staring at my chest.
How flustering.

The definition of homesick
You know what's sad? I'm jonesing for some chocolate. I'm 20 cents short to buy some M&M's from the vending machine. I have a Maine quarter that I've been holding on to for a while now - the very first Maine quarter I ever found. And I'm not sacrificing it on the altar of my chocolate craving.
How's *that* for homesick?
You've gotta do this
Check out Postcards For Mom. Thanks to Mz. Bitchypoo for the link! I'm totally going to do this. And keep an eye out on the website for what she does when she finds out. IF she finds out.

President's Day Agenda
- Write English paper - no less than four pages analyzing the comedic elements of Will Cuppy's "Cleopatra" from "The Decline and Fall of Just About Everybody" (I photo-copied it from the library)
- For Microeconomics, re-do supply/demand graphs to indicate the point of equilibrium in the rise in sales/demand of over-the-counter drugs, and the fall in sales/demand of their pharmaesutical counterparts
- Work out
- Shower
- Lunch
- Sit on ass and read "Seduced by Moonlight" until Calvin comes home from work
The only thing I *feel* like doing is that last one, there. And maybe the shower, and lunch.
