Heather is present in my cubicle.
The books she got me for Christmas (The Blue Day Book and the collection of Shel Silverstein's) are on one corner, available to any co-worker that needs to borrow them for a moment of decompression. Whenever someone (new) comes into my cube, they seemed a little surprised to see them. Then I explain what they're there for (Freely Borrow, Kindly Return!), and this silly little smile steals over their faces. Because I don't care how old you are, you can't NOT smile at poetry like this:
The Tongue Sticker-Outer
They say that once in Zanzibar
A boy stuck out his tongue so far,
It reached the heavens and touched a star,
Which burned him rather badly.
I wasn't there, but they say that lout
Now keeps his tongue inside his mouth,
But if you ask him to stick it out...
I think he'll do it gladly.

And also...
Those cats! Those animated cats that are little rock star kitties! You know, the ones they put on during the credits at the end of shows on VH1 (or was it MTV?), that are singing and playing instruments? There used to be a website for 'em, but I lost that link, too! It's been driving me crazy forever, trying to find 'em again.
Anybody out there know what I'm talking about?
Hey, does anybody out there subscribe to Terri's "Cutting Through Fluff" Notify List? She sent out an e-mail entitled "Final Entry", but when I tried to open it, Hotmail ate it! I tried e-mailing her to get it re-sent, but I don't know if she terminated her e-mail account along with her website. Anyway, if anybody out there has that e-mail, would you mind forwarding it to me? Thanks!!!
