I am a moody thing, aren't I?

Site redesigns come in three's, apparently. I make a small change, which leads to another small change, which leads to a big sweeping change. I'm done for another year, I think.

Calvin called, just to say "I love you". We call it having a "warm-fuzzy fit".

I have to go grocery shopping after work. Long time readers will recall how much I hate running errands after work.

Mo's cooking ineptitude.

Nuthin.

In which I can't leave well enough alone.

Another year, another index and entry page redesign. My website, when looked at in its entirety, must seem like a mixed up mish-mash of a dozen different designs and page layouts. I could excuse the confusion away by defining it as "artsy" with a "scrapbook feel", but we all know it's just that I didn't apply a design template to my overall website back in the beginning, and I'm FAR too lazy to go back and redo the pages that were in the old design. So, mish-mash is what you get. There is a good side to it - if I ever get the yen to go back to an old design (and you'll notice that there's a lot of variations on a theme), copying the source from an old entry is easy enough. And I've saved a copy of every index page I've ever created, even the very hokey original design.

You may have noticed something new on the main page. Follow the link, read my reasoning, and join the Notify List if you so choose. I have no idea how often I'll use that little feature, but just knowing I have the ability is freeing up my writing fingers.

Let's see, what else? Marie came home from her trip with her mom very late Sunday night, so we didn't see her until Monday after work. We spent several hours catching up last night - well, she caught us up on the details of her trip, anyway. Not much happened with us that we needed to catch her up on, besides the little home improvement projects I mentioned previously (oh, and Calvin spent last weekend building us a new gate, which is much improved over our old, ghetto one. And he fought the bougainvillea, and the bougainvillea won.). She had a good time, catching up with relatives who live in Ohio, that she hasn't seen since she was very small. Toward the end, as is the case with any trip, she was eager to be home. She is now enjoying the hell out of Spring Break, and the opportunity to sleep until three in the afternoon.

I have Spring Break this week, too, which means that while I still have to go to work, I'm experiencing a mini-vacation in the form of less-complicated days in which I can just concentrate on work. Which is, you know, woo.

I have recently felt the mental surge of motivation, that comes perhaps three times a year, in which I am determined to STICK TO my fitness goals. It last for a month, maybe two, and then dissipates. I have learned to expect this. I have learned to accept the fact that there are other breakfast items besides bagels, and that beer is not my friend. I have learned to come to grips with the fact that if I do not work out before work, chances are I simply will not work out at all. What I am currently trying to learn is how not to feel utterly morose at the thought of getting up early in order to pace away on my elliptical machine. When I figure that out, I'll let you all know so you can take advantage of the trick of it.

I just got a call from Calvin, asking me to add a couple of things to the grocery list, and telling me to expect Marie's boyfriend over for dinner. So I must go now to the incomparable Recipezaar and ensure that I have all the ingredients with which to make shrimp scampi.

There you have it, my non-entry entry.
